I have been working primarily in the field of dispute resolution for over 20 years. While working at a district court, I had the opportunity to successfully settle disputes as chairperson of the conciliation authority for tenancy disputes. Alread back then, I realised that a mutual understanding of the interests behind the positions is crucial for finding a constructive solution.
As part of my work as a lawyer in two different commercial law firms, I was then able to gain valuable experience as a legal representative of various economic players in a wide range of commercial disputes (in state court but also arbitral proceedings). In 2012, I completed a training programme as arbitration practitioner.
My current part–time position as in–house counsel at a private bank also enables me to gain in–depth insights into the functioning of organisations and to apply various methods of dispute resolution.
In the context of the various mediation trainings I became inspired of the power of this method of dispute resolution, which offers a wider range of options than the law provides.
